Hi all,
Just posting this in case other people experience the same irritating problem:
I've been using Stardock's ObjectDock launch bar for years now with XP, and thought I'd have no problems with using it on 7 as well... However, it seems I was wrong. As you can see in this post on MS TechNet forums, there is a small issue with running OD under 7: 90% of new windows don't open in front of the currently active window, they open behind it instead, meaning you need to select a flashing taskbar button to view the program you just opened... 'Irritating' doesn't begin to describe it.
There is good news though; for those of us who are used to having that handy hidden shortcut bar along the top or side of the screen, RocketDock works perfectly with Windows 7.
