Browser preference really comes down to habit / style. I'm a tinkerer and a customizer so FF is perfect for me. I'm happy to trade a little bit of speed for add-ons. It's not a perfect browser, but then again, none of them are.

Whatever your preference, all that counts is that you are able to browse the sites you want, browse the sites you shouldn't () and post opinions that not everyone agrees with.

In the end, we're all winners

I'm perfectly happy with IE7. (eat yoursef FF fans )
I tried the IE8 beta, but somehow it slowed down my pc ...

I never liked Opera's interface, so I don't use it.
Long time ago (before IE7) I used the Safari and even now I have beta version installed, but I use it very rarely.

And as far the Chrome, I think it's a bad (very bery bad) copy of FF.

But that's just me

umm actually not true...
you might even say its a copy of safari since the its based on webkit...
and webkit is based on tech used in konqueror
so you might say its a bad copy of konqueror..

I've been running Chrome as my default browser for a few months now. I haven't had any trouble with it other than a few issues when it first came out. I never really ran add-ons on Firefox so I don't really miss that.

And just in case nobody's already said it, I highly doubt that Google will allow an ad-block feature/add-on considering they'd be killing their own business.

ahh but one the best adblockers (adblock plus is called) was not made by Mozilla...
im pretty sure that if chrome would open the dev for addons then i can see it being ported to chrome (but not being endorsed by google...)...
for me until a noscript equivalent and a DP interfacing app (connecting DP and Chrome) reaches chrome im not making it my default..
sure its fast but its not as safe as FF with no passwords in manager (DP handles them btw and its really really helpful...)
id rather have safe but a little slow than fast and unsafe...
the i really love selecting which scripts i can enable on the fly (while it does rerender the page to me its just a minor inconvenience...)
this way its really locked down to the point where i have not been hit by a virii for the past 2-3 years..

Like nate42nd said previously, we all choose browser(s) according to our own preferences.

And I'm sory for not explaining the "chrome=FF copy" thing. I think everyone wants to beat IE and are making so called "slim, small, super effective browsers" that are "a lot better" than IE (so they claim).
You'll probably not agree with me, but FF is the only real worthy opponent to IE. For example, Opera and Safari have been both on "the market" for a quite long time and still only few % people are using them. FF came out as a lightning from the clear with it's "innovative design, addons, scripts...).
And still Google wants to be "smart" and makes a browser that is so much worse than any of others mentioned above (according to many people, even many from this forum).


The only thing that really matters is which one YOU prefer and works best for YOUR needs.

well like all of google products this was still supposed to be in beta
and i look at it and to me its still in beta....
like most people said the sole reason why it went gold is because OEM would not bundle beta software...

No images from Photobucket show up on Chrome anymore! I've googled, and I'm not the only one... but there doesn't seem to be a fix for it yet :sarc: any ideas!?
