Hello,

I have Windows 7 installed on my laptop, and it keeps freezing when I launch spicific programs. When I launch any movie file (AVI, MPEG, WMP, Etc.), the system will freeze. This also happens with my Pinnical TV tuner software. I tried running my Pinnical TV Tuner softare in compatibility mode, but with no luck. Is this due to a bad driver? Well, my system specs are listed below...

Operating System: Windows 7 build 7000
Processor: AMD Mobility Sempron Processor 2800+ 1.60 GHz
RAM: 768MB RAM
Graphics: SiS 760 Chipset running SiS Mirage Graphics Driver
Harddisk capacity: 52.1 GB
Machine: eMachines M5414 Laptop

Please, if there is any solution for this, please let me know ;)

Hello curtjr4,

Welcome to the Seven Forums.

Just so you know, If you click on the 'My System Specs' link at the bottom left of one of your own posts you can fill in the info about your system. This way you don't have to keep filling it in for each post.

Enjoy.

Just a shot in the dark but sometimes software can crash if UAC is turned off. Hope it helps, but thats what was wrong with my computer, turned in on the lowest setting and everything worked fine.

Well, I think that I am going to downgrade back to XP on my laptop, but keep Windows 7 installed on my desktop, well, I will only downgrade if there is no fix. UAC is activated.
