Software Installation "Installs on first use"

I have ran into several issues while installing third party software on my computer and laptop. The installation seems to go perfectly fine and then when I click on the icon in the start menu an installation menu opens. If I right click on the icon and open the properities the shortcut says "Application (Installs on First Use)." I can navigate to the apporpriate folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative Home\Hallmark Card Studio 2010 Deluxe and then pin the icon to the start menu and drag it to the appropriate folder and start the program this way. I have recently reformatted my harddrive and reinstalled Windows 7. Prior to this the program installed perfect.

This is only one example of the problem I am having with several software installations.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Valerie

Hi Valeria and welcome

Have you moved any of the library folders, or imported folders from a prior OS?

Is there only the one user? was this a clean install??

Ken,
There is only one user and it was a clean install in a freshly formatted hard drive. I have not moved any folders since installing the OS.

Thanks,

Valerie,
Did you come up with a solution? I am having the same issue with streets and Trips , and print artist. When I try to run the program it asks for the installation path.I have
reinstalled windows 7 after not being able to install Office 2003, after reinstall office installed correctly, could this be an issue with the MSI Installer? Also what is the difference in Program files and program files (X86)?
