I have a software application that won't launch expanded. I contacted the developer (China) and was told there is no way other than manually. (top right button)

Is there a registry key I can modify to accomplish this?

Hello rwmol,

If the program has a shortcut, or create one for it, then right click on the shortcut, and click on properties. Next, see if setting Run -> Maximized in the Shortcut tab and clicking on OK like below may work to always run the shortcut maximized.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks for the suggestion Brink. I hadn't thought of that one. Nonetheless it didn't work. Any other ideas?

Depending on the program, sometimes you could maximize it, and close the program to have it open the same the next time it's opened.

That was the first thing I tried. There was a similar post where a member supplied a fix for Windows Media Player for this same problem.

What software is this for? Maybe someone may know a workaround for it.

Thanks for the suggestion. The software is called "DVD Video Converter Ultimate". It's developed by a company called Pavtube. If there is someone out there that wants to tinker with this issue, they have a fully functional trial. It produces a finished product with a watermark until you purchase. The web sight is clean. No viruses, ads etc.
