Softwares that do NOT write on the Registry

Hi, I was wondering if there are any useful programs that do not make new registry entries or data when installed.Please tell me in there are any. Thanks.

There are quite a few portable apps which don't even need to be installed.

I thought this was a pain AT FIRST (using portable apps) but after a while it really is nice. I use a lot of portable apps now. I have an 8GB flash drive and have all my programs that run from it. The apps run pretty fast and you can take your programs to other computers. I second this recommendation.
