3. I can download a digital copy of an install disk, then use my own product 25 char key. But where do I find a digital copy that I know will work and do I have to pay anything?

OK, you haven't seemed to follow my previous advice which was to look for the other thread on this topic, so, being as I'm a nice person I'll spoon feed it to you. It's here. I suggest you have a look because it is quite informative.

To answer your questions:

1 - yes, via Windows Anytime Upgrade.
2 - one of the features of Ultimate is to change the interface language so no, it won't be part translated, it will be fully in English (once you have downloaded the language pack, available from Windows Update).
3 - yes, as confirmed in my previous thread, you can fresh install a new language version of the same Win7 version (Home Premium --> Home Premium,... Pro --> Pro) and use your product key on the back of your machine. Where can you find? =Google. Will you pay? =No, if you choose wisely. To make sure you have an authentic Win7.iso, check its MD5 checksum which are available on Technet. Again, Google is your friend.
4 - see 1. via Control panel.
5 - yes. This would do it as confirmed here.

You could buy an upgrade to Ultimate (easiest and fastest option), this will simply unlock the extra features that aren't available in Home Premium, so no fresh install, but if all you want is the language change then it seems to be a waste of money. You've already paid for a version of HP (be it Spanish English or whatever) so why buy another licence?

Guys, did you also notice Premium couldnt change the language of your keyboard?

I recently reinstalled my Win7 from the partition and opted for English instead of Spanish, and the English setup is conflicting with my Spanish designed keyboard.

Yet surely Bill Gates cant have been such a megalomaniac ****er as to mess with the keyboard too? I read you guys only had problems with the interface. Yet when I go to keyboard= change keyboard I set it to spanish but it just wont effing budge. Now I have a number of crucial Shift plus symbol combinations totally messed up.

Please confirm.

Err, nope... no problems with mine. To confirm, in Control Panel -> Region & Language, I have Format tab = English, Location tab = Spain.
Evrything works perfectly.

See I was thinking of reinstalling from the partition again, however time consuming that would be too, but the prospect of having to do that without even knowing it would be a positive result, is just beyond parodious.

Install from the partition - as in factory backup partition, as in "with bloatware"?
Probably better with an English iso.

I think what happened, is my factory Windows has the option to install in different languages, but once that is done it cant be changed because its Home Premium. Im just resisting the glaring truth that I probably have no remedy but to backup everything onto another HD or PC and install again.

I've not seen a factory partition giving you the option to install in other languages - On very 1st boot of my Toshiba laptop (Home Premium x64) bought here in Spain, it asked English or Spanish, but it said English not available and installed Spanish.

i bought my laptop in taiwan and the OS Win 7 was originally in mandarin. i was able to install the english pack. this really worked! thank you so much

Great. So you can change from SOME language to other languages, just not from Spanish to English. I bought a laptop b/c my other one was dying from the heat here in Spain, and, of course, it was installed in Spanish. With my old VISTA I just installed the language pack and voila it was in English. NOW I find out I have to fork out another 190 euros more to get a version in English. I wish I had bought an URDU, MANDARIN OR WELSH computer then I would be able to install English for free. I thought Windows 7 would be better but it turns out it sucks. Well, actually Microsoft is just trying to gouge users. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Yeah, if we had bought computers that were installed in Mandarin or Urdu or Welsh we could download an update to ENglish, but because we are ex-pats Microsoft wants us to pay more. I am so angry. With Vista I just downloaded the Language Pack and switched everything to ENglish, now with Windows 7 which is supposed to be better Microsoft wants me to pay almost 200 euros more to update to Ultimate. If the software I HAVE to use for my work would run on a different platform I would never use WIndows again.

It is a hack program to enable otherwise unavailable options of the OS that were not paid for.

For the OP it was harmless, using that to obtain features that weren't paid for was the issue that I was talking about, there was another thread where it was discussed at length over the legality of it.
