Reinstalled windows again (To clear all the unwanted stuff, start fresh)

Now that I have everything sorted few days later and things are playing up again

When watching youtube videos the videos like stop start and make weird crackling noise
Run a scan on maleware bytes and found 10 threats
When I open new tab in firefox the squares where your history is not there like there has been a search front put up (might be paranoid lol)
And my internet loading times and video buffering is now terrible it used to be really quick

Thats it guys sorry if there is to much to read here just need to know whats wrong with my computer

Thanks for any help

You may have picked up some 'bundled' adware.

Download DDS from one of these links:
DDS.com
DDS.pif
  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Double click the dds icon to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    1. DDS.txt
    2. Attach.txt <--- will be minimized in the task tray
  • Save both reports to your desktop.
Include the contents of both logs in your next post.
The scan will instruct you to post Attach.txt as an attachment.

What "driver updater thing" did you download, and from what site?

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.
  • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
  • Click on the Scan button.
  • AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete.
  • After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R#].txt) will open in Notepad for review (where the largest value of # represents the most recent report).
  • The contents of the log file may be confusing. Unless you see a program name that you know should not be removed, don't worry about it. If you see an entry you want to keep, let me know about it.
  • Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.
  • A copy of all logfiles are saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool.

That is a pretty extensive adware list.. Which antivirus do you use?
Conduit is a prime example of slowing down computers along with most of the other stuff found

Please download RogueKiller and save it to your desktop.

You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

  • RogueKiller 32-bit | RogueKiller 64-bit
  • Quit all running programs.
  • For Windows XP, double-click to start.
  • For Vista,Windows 7/8, Right-click on the program and select Run as Administrator to start and when prompted allow it to run.
  • Read and accept the EULA (End User Licene Agreement)
  • Click Scan to scan the system.
  • When the scan completes run the clean part.

Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.

  • Shutdown your antivirus to avoid any conflicts.
  • Right click over JRT.exe and select Run as administrator on Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click on XP.
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete.
  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next reply message
  • When completed make sure to re-enable your antivirus

Good. Now, download TFC by Old Timer TFC - Temp File Cleaner by OldTimer - Geeks to Go Forums and save it to your desktop.
Save any unsaved work. TFC will close ALL open programs including your browser!
Double-click on TFC.exe to run it. If you are using Vista/Windows 7 right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator.
Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process and let it run uninterrupted to completion.
Important! If TFC prompts you to reboot, please do so immediately. If not prompted, manually reboot the machine anyway to ensure a complete clean.

After doing that, please download CKScanner by askey127 from HERE
Important - Save it to your desktop.
Doubleclick CKScanner.exe and click Search For Files.
After a very short time, when the cursor hourglass disappears, click Save List To File.
A message box will verify the file saved.
Double-click the CKFiles.txt icon on your desktop and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.

I don't know for sure... if you're going to keep µTorrent, then you are just asking for malware/virus and Trojans to join in with your computer's antics.

You can run all the scans again and post the new .txt logs ... But ... do not install or run µTorrent!

First off I apologize for intruding here and I do truly respect your knowledge and expertise Jacee, but to state that using uTorrent is "asking for malware/virus and trojans" and discouraging its use is a gross overgeneralization and very ignorant of what BitTorrent is.

BitTorrent both as a protocol and as a client (µTorrent is a BitTorrent client) is perfectly safe and legal to use. There are many legitimate uses for BitTorrent, a chief example being Linux distros using BitTorrent as one way to distribute their ISOs, and using BitTorrent to download legitimate data like Linux ISOs will not result in contracting any malware (though due diligence is always advised, obviously).

Whether a user will contract malware while utilizing BitTorrent depends entirely on how they use it, like anything else on the internet. Simply installing and using µTorrent will not result in an open invitation to malware and viruses!

King Arthur I do believe that Jacee has the knowledge about µTorrents.

I believe like Jacee they should not be used. Most of the time Torrents are use to download things one does not want to pay for that do come with a price tag. That is called stealing.
Examples would be movies, music, programs.
Because the bad guys know what is being done and the feeds come from so many locations they are infected.
Because one has given permission for the Torrent to download many security programs won't stop the infection.

Their are a few legal uses of a Torrent but their are millions of not legal reasons not to use a Torrents.

After watching Jacee's post on security for years on this site and others I personally know she is not ignorant in any way shape of form about Torrents or security.

Please notice here signature.

I am most certainly not disputing Jacee's credentials, as I've stated I greatly respect her experience and knowledge with computer security.

However, I find the suggestion of not using µTorrent for the reason given as problematic because it overgeneralizes the problem. Rather than simply handwaving BitTorrent away as a bad thing (which it isn't), it would be far more beneficial to everyone to teach users what BitTorrent is and how it should be properly used.

Yes, BitTorrent is used extensively for less-than-legal acts, but sweeping BitTorrent "under the rug" in the fashion as it was done here and suggesting simply that BitTorrent is bad because you could contract nasties and therefore you shouldn't use it ultimately benefits no one.

As the old saying goes: Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for life.

I am sorry, but this and similar posts alike enrage me, Saying that using torrents and their clients are strictly 100% asking for infections is either naievity or stupidity, take your pick, I am not questioning Jacee's ability as she is outstanding in all areas, just thus one particular aspect i disagree with, If you are getting virus's/malware or what ever you want to call it using torrents then your either doing something wrong or you dont have a clue what your doing and therefore shouldn't be using them anyone that uses torrents WITH KNOWLEDGE of what they are doing then they should never have any problems, what i download and methods used is MY choice and i would never ask here for help to solve problems with cracked software or similar, Saying downloading movies etc is illegal, yes i agree, but i see countless threads on this forum asking on how to rip films from DVD's and getting past their security features to stop it isnt this the SAME thing!?
If i enjoy something, i then go and pay for it! Cracks etc are known as FALSE POSITIVES, not anything that will ever harm your computer, if anyone has any problems with this post, please feel free to drop me a message. Thank you
