Something wrong with my fan?

This has never happened before. This started happening today when I was on XP downloading something. Kaspersky detected it as a trojan and deleted it and ever since that, my computer usage has been going high with every little action. New tab, 60% and then goes back down. Opening a new window, it goes to 100% and back down. Booting up is also loud. When my computer turns off, there's this weird high pitched quacking sound which makes me believe this is a hardware problem. So, I open my computer up and I dust it with my trusty air can but that didn't fix my problem. So, I'm pretty stumped to what I should do. I constantly clean my computer so I don't think cluttered junk could be an issue.

I have 3 gigs of RAM, and I am dual booting Windows Seven with Windows XP. This problem originated when I was on XP. All help is appreciated. :)

I almost forgot, I use kaspersky internet security 2009 and ad-aware pro 2009 on both XP and Seven. I've already tried doing a full system scan with kaspersky. No threats were found except a few vulnerabilities.

Update: Computer usage still goes up with every little thing but my fan isn't as loud anymore.. Hardware problem?

Update 2: The fan is louder when running Windows XP

You may want to check the task manager to see if there is anything running in the background that shouldn't be. A screenshot would be helpful too :)

I've notice with my laptop that the fan switches itself between silent & full power when certain things are happening (high CPU usage mostly). The same may happen for desktop systems too.

Added three screenshots. I've also noticed this new keyboard is kinda buggy on Windows Seven. It's the Microsoft Media 3000. My scroll started going back and forward to pages. My letters were in caps without the shift or caps lock key on. A bit odd. I installed the software on XP and Seven before I plugged in the new keyboard.

Thanks for the tip. The only one I didn't disable was msn, I use that every day.

Maybe you should FAN speed and etc in BIOS and in PC Wizard.
Also, also check temperature.
You might also try Process Monitor to see what program is accessing disk/registry/..

you may also want to check your fan if its making too much noise or you may buy another cooling system for the processor with lesser noise.
