sometime POST cannot complete, sometime hangs after boot

I have a laptop hcl notebook "hcl notebook p28 pdc". It has boot problems, sometime it cannot start POST. I use usb POSTCARD to diagnose, power to the POSTCARD come and go and the code was always FF. sometime it can complete POST and windows boot but use to hang after some minutes with slight change in display. Temperature is high though all ventilation is properly clean. Hard disk and RAM are tested in other pc. Please help me

Hello Ngazek. Welcome to the forum.

Have you tried removing the battery and trying to start the laptop with only the power supply?

Also try starting without some of the removable components.

• If there are 2 sticks of RAM then just install one. Then the other one. Try one stick in each slot.
• Remove the hard drive. Remove the DVD drive. Remove both.

You are basically trying to isolate what piece of hardware is failing and causing the system to not boot.
