Sort users on logon screen

I searched a little bit and found no good answer, maybe i miss some terms.
I have a computer with 4 users and want to change the order of the users on the logon screen.

Currently it is:
User_not_more_using | Remote_Access | User_Active | me
i want to have it like:
User_Active | User_not_more_using | Remote_Access | me

all i found so far looks like that i have to clone all profiles and give them trailing numbers like
01 User_Active
02 User_not_more_using
03 Remote_Access
04 me

maybe there is a registry tweak way?

The sorting is done alphabetically or in the 2nd method you have in your post.
