sound card reinstalling and causing other issues

Hey everyone! Here is the problem I am having: Lets start with specs, this is my friends machine,

Home bulit:
Asus p4t
GeForce 5200 256
Pentium 4 1.4
1 GB Ram

Okay so I upgraded To Windows 7 home, no issues. Network card working, eberything was fine. Shut down installed Soundblaster xfi extreme gamer; loaded the drivers from creative. It found and installed just fine, network card still working. Needed a reboot to finish install of sound card. Rebooted, said it finished install, but install shield hung for awhile then a message to reboot came up.

Rebooted again, windows started and then found new hardware and installed the drivers again for the sound card, and said I needed to reboot. This time I noticed it won't connect to the net. It says no device detected. Went into device manager and there was my network card, installed and "ready" to use. Now I am stuck with no internet, and at every boot the sound card reinstalls. If I let finish the install for the soundcard and it works but my network card still won't. Then reboot and the same thing.

Really mad right now

Thanks all

I am having some issues with Creative Labs as well. They are well-known for having poor driver support, so maybe it is time for both of us to look elsewhere. How much aggravation do you need?

I don't have a specific answer for you.
