I'm having a weird problem with my sound in Windows 7. When I first got W7 the sound was working just fine, but one day the sound just...crashed, when that happens, I can't run any application that uses any sound whatsoever (even simple ones like solitaire). Restarting the computer makes the sound work for awhile but eventually the sound crashes again. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening and how I can solve the problem permanently?

Hi and welcome

Usually a driver problem. type device manager in search. go to the sound tab and look to see if your card is listed, and if it has a yellow triangle on it. If it is missing or has a yellow triangle on it, you need to re-install the driver. Also if there are any 'unknown' drivers with yellow they need drivers

Let us know the results and if you need any help with this

Well I tried what you suggested but the computer said that my Audio CODEC and my HDMI are working fine. Is there anything else you can suggest.
