That headset is a USB, with its own built in "sound card". It does not use the PC's sound card.

There are drivers for this unit. Have you installed the drivers?

As this is a digital signal to the headset (same as a digital signal to the PC's internal sound card), if the PC's regular sound works OK, I would suspect a problem either with the driver or the headset, or possibly the USB port.

First thing, have you tried a different USB port? If you are plugging into a front panel port, try a rear port.

If that doesn't help, plug the headset in, then go to the Device Manager, RIGHT click on the entry for the headset to highlight it and then LEFT click "Uninstall". Also check the block to uninstall the driver. Then unplug the headset, and restart the PC. After Windows starts, do a complete new install (Usually starting with installing the drivers FIRST and then only connecting the headset after the drivers have been installed).
