Sound Problem.

I purchased a Tevion Turntable that runs using Audacity as its output. I am also using Skype. After plugging in and using the turntable I went back to use Skype to have a chat and got a very robotic sounding voice as my output which I was also assured was very distorted as well So I removed the turntable uninstalled Audacity Skype still made my voice very distorted. So I then removed Skype completely from my PC. I then used windows recorder to test again and my voice sounds to me like a speeded up version of Mickey Mouse. Has anyone any idea of what has caused this and how I can now get my voice to sound normal?

Brian it sounds like the turntable changed the default recording/input device to itself, not uncommon for that sort of thing. If that is what happen you need to open the Windows recording properties and just change the default back to your microphone.

P.S. Also if that is what happened and you only use the mic for Skype you should be able to right click on it and set it to the default communications device, and then you can leave the turntable as the default recording/input device.

Many thanks for the help.
But as an old man not really too sure about where to go to change the settings for the windows recording properties.

The same for the mic and the turntable default.

Sorry to be a pain.
