Sound Wave - Reducing help!

Hi. On windows xp, I used to reduce Waving when the sound was bad (headphones) and when it was like "zzzzzz" on loud parts (hope you understand me).

Here, the second one:



I would like to reduce that waving on Windows 7... I can't listen to music because of it, it just irritates me (basses especially!)! Please help me!

I'm not sure what you're asking.
If you'd like to reduce the volume levels, that can be done by accessing the volume mixer.
What sound card or on board audio are you using?

No, I want to reduce what was called "Wave" on XP...

Idk what card I am using :/ How can I know that?

There's no longer a wave mixer.
Right click on your volume mixer in the bottom right corner.
Open Volume Mixer. Sounds that are available can be adjusted there.

To see what kind of audio device you have installed, go to Start> Search>
type "device" and select "Device Manager".
Open Sound, video and game controllers.

Thank you, but there's only the main volume mixer. I mean the main volume, like it was on "one click" on XP. I would like to reduce waving, but thanks for telling me it doesn't exist here so I can stop searching it :sight: :/

He's referring to the wave volume control, as seen in the first post. Both Vista and Windows 7 differ from earlier incantations of Windows (e.g. XP) when it comes to volume level controls. We still have a master volume/mute control to control the overall level, but now each source has its own level control, even if they are of the same type.
