i am using Windows 7 build 7264. i never installed sound max driver that came with the mother board cd because it wont work. Instead i ran windows update and it would download the sound driver from microsoft that works perfectly. So uninstall any sound driver that you have installed and run windows update it will download and install the sound driver for you.

Hope this will work.

Hi there! Just installed Windows 7 (7264) and the sound isn't working. In device manager it's called High definition audio device. Driver date: 6/22/2009 driver version: 6.1.7264.0 I also have XP installed everything is workin there but it's called Soundmax integrated digital HD audio. Everything seems to be fine, but the sound just isn't coming out. What's wrong?

Any of you SoundMax guys have full surround working? My 7.1 surround only works in the driver config tester, but in WMP and games (Fallout 3), I only get audio from the 3 front speakers.
