Speech Recognition Won't Open

Hello,

I've searched all the forums for solutions and have only found a ton of other people with the problem, but no solution that would work for me.

I've set up my microphone and done the tutorial and trained the application twice, but trying to use it... where ever I try to start it (control panel, start menu..), nothing visible happens. The interface does not open.

I noticed that it does start a process in the task manager. It doesn't come up as an application, but a process. Then, if I say "start listening" or "stop listening", the process immediately disappears from the list. Also, if I right click the process and click "properties", that also causes the process to disappear and the properties-window never opens.

I'm getting no errors. I can't find anything in the event viewer that I could relate to this issue. It just doesn't work and I'm pissed off because I just bought an application that requires speech recognition to have any sense in using.

PLEASE, help me. My fate in Microsoft is dying.

This would appear to be a software/Windows program and not actually an "Audio" problem. Posting in another forum section that is more appropriate may get you some help.

The Software section would be a good place to start. Software - Windows 7 Help Forums
