The Setup: 2.4 = bank2.4, 5.0 = bank50. These are the wireless names I've given to my routers SSID. However, remember I said "WIRELESS". Then how come when I'm hard wired into my router, it shows me bank50? I just wonder sometimes if I'm connected to my router wireless or hard wire. How can I get this to show me bank (when I'm hard wired into the router), bank2.4 when I'm on my wireless or bank 50?

Next question:

I love windows 7 pro. One of the many features I love about it is the fact that I can click on Network and Sharing, then click on a little tab on the right side called "See Full Map" and see everything that is on my network. Lately tho my Netgear wifi extender is failing me which is causing this feature to start giving me errors. Now does windows 8, 8.1, 9 and 10 have this feature or did they S*** can it?

Thanks

Go to Network and sharing and disable the wireless adapter temporarily and check the wired connection.

Yes, the network Map is no longer available in Windows 8, 8.1 or 10. There is no Windows 9.

I guess I can S*** can my plans on with my CCTV system then. It's saving me tons of money with the wife, however, is there a third party program out there that did/does the same?

As for the SSID's if I did what you suggested, then what will show up? For example, there isn't any place to name your SSID as the basic on the router. Let's say Bank. Then if you go and click on wifi 2.4 then I would expect you are connected to Bank2.4 and the same with Bank50. On my rig if I click on Network and Sharing, I see a little computer and when I click on that (being wired) it shows that I'm connected to Bank50 or Bank2.4. I'm confused, as I'm wondering if anyone can unconfused me.

Thanks.
