Not to get into a *peeing* contest, but my system is a bit more powerful than yours, and I wouldn't dream of having that many apps running at start up. I'd rather save my system's power for my intended uses, instead of just churning away at unnecessary bits in the background.
BTW> Running a second monitor doesn't have anything to do with a computer's power. You could do that with a $30 video card installed into a Pentium III tower.
I'm not pointing that out to be an ass, I'm doing so to suggest maybe you could use some friendly advice, either on here, or from a friend to optimize your system. Most likely, the performance of your system is being severely crippled by all those extra processes. Why not trim the fat and make your system run much faster?
