Startup repair

Hi. My Acer laptop was having problem so I went into recover back to earlier date, now it's stuck on startup repair is checking your system for problems its been going for hours and hours in the same state . I'm not knowledgable at all with these things, can I please get some help.

Hi Yvonne and welcome to Seven Forums.
Just a couple of questions:
What problems were you having before you decided to run startup repair?
How long did you leave startup repair to run?
Do you have a system repair disc you created earlier or a Windows 7 installation disc?
If so, you could try running startup repair from that.

Here's a link to the official ISO's to create an installation disk, you would need to create this on another pc though.
