What does co-op mean? I see some games, in the description area list, say co-op.

co-op is when you play with other players towards a common objective.
As opposed to the normal pvp where you kill other players.
left 4 dead is an example of a co-op game.

It's just the abbreviated form of cooperative. Technology is all about abbreviations

one thing that is cool about co-op's is many of them have built in voice support. So you can actually communicate with the other players.
