Hey there,

topic title describes it good :( Currently always when I'm pressing ctlr+X, it shortly displayes as it should (little bit transparent ... you know, what I mean), but than, it goes back to display it without transparency and when I press Strg+V somewhere, it gets copied and does not get transfered :(

When I do it by using rightclick, it's the same prob :(

Control+X = Cut
Control+C = Copy

When you "Cut" something, the file will become transparent until it is "pasted" somewhere ONCE. After that ONE paste, it will no longer be "Cut", therefore you wont be able to "paste" it anywhere else.

However, if you "Copy" the file, you can "paste" it as many times as you'd like.

:)

That is not entirely correct. The file, or what ever you are copying, remains and can be pasted as many times as you wish until it is overwritten by other data. This is the same whether or not the original is cut (Ctrl+X) or copied (Ctrl+C) from its original location.

I guess I am confused as to exactly whats going on.

SO you can CUT something, the icon becomes "transparent" (yes, I do understand what you mean), but then you CANT paste it?

All I was saying is if you cut it, you can only paste it once (if you want to paste it again you'd have to cut it again).

If you copy it you do NOT have to re-copy over and over.

Cut/Paste and Copy/Paste work in a virtually identical way. The data to be pasted is first copied to a scratchpad - this same data can be pasted over and over again until it is replaced by new data. The difference between Cut and Copy is that Cut removes the data from its original location, whereas Copy leaves it in its original location.

First, just to clarify: STRG = Steuerung, German for Control = CTRL.

CTRL + X cuts the chosen text or object, CTRL + V pastes it to cursors location, or to active window. CTRL + C copies the chosen text or object.

If you use CTRL + X to cut an object, or CTRL + C to copy let's say a folder, it stays where it was but is shown grayed out as long as you have not pasted it to new location. When you paste it, it disappears from the original location if cut, or is again shown normally if copied.

oO Normally I haven't got such a big problem to express myself but today I'm getting the think I'm speaking chinese :(

Yeah I read your underlined sentence. And to say it again:

Pressing ctrl+c, the folder/file stays without transparency and when using ctrl+v to paste it, it get's copied and the original folder/file remains in original location, too.

Pressing ctrl+x, the folder/files shortly displays as transparent, but directly returns to display without transparency (without interaction of me, it only shows about half a second transparent). when I click than ctrl+v, it gets copied (the non-transparency of the folder/file also shows it hasn't been marked to cut), the original folder/file also still remains where it was. SO BEHAVIOUR LIKE USING ctrl+c & ctrl+v. SO NO CUT-BEHAVIOUR.

If this is again un-understandable, I will hang myself Oo

SO when you use CTRL-X (which should CUT the file) and then paste it, the original file is still there (i.e. ACTING LIKE you pressed CTRL-C when you pressed CTRL-X).

I get it now.

Unfortunately I don't know the answer :(

Yes and this behaviour is directly indicated after pressing ctrl+x because, as I stated above, the folder/file only gets transparent very very short, than directly, its again fully visible.
