Stuck on identifying...

I'm using a laptop.
My wireless internet icon in the bottom right says "Identifying... No Internet access"
Thing is: I'm on this laptop right now posting this...
I also noticed my internet has gotten significantly slow. Ethernet is not an option currently.
I've also tried reinstalling the network adapter still nothing.
Any help is appreciated.

Did you uninstall the adapter from device manager, and the drivers with it, first?
