I have had some minor video issues since I installed Windows 7. Nothing terrible. However, I wonder about some things I have noticed now, namely windows/boxes that do not follow the cursor when I drag (they will, however, jump into the right place when I let go or the mouse button). Could this be an issue with slow graphics cards? I have a fast computer, lots of RAM, but I have Nvidia GeForce 8600 GTS for two monitors and Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT for the third. Kinda' old, eh?

Another issue is that when I minimize windows in my non-main monitors, they visibly minimize towards the (middle) main monitor. I use UltraMon as a manager for my multi-monitor setup, but I do not know if it is the culprit.

Happy for some comments on this.

Regards,

Hans L

Sounds like:

Graphics card: You may want to update drivers and reset the card.

or memory problems. Test memory using memory diagnostics

Don't know about the second question.

to have 2 video cards and 3 monitors connected to 1 computer, you sound to be pretty techie enough to already know to download the correct drivers and monitor management software.

install any software that comes with the video cards, directx...what else???

Ultramon does not state it support Windows 7: Release Notes for UltraMon 3.0.9 RC

UltraMon 3 requires Windows 2000/XP or later, Windows 98/Me are no longer supported.

Is "later" consider Windows 7?

You don't need Ultramon anymore. Windows does a good job with multiple monitors.

Thank you, everybody. Yes, I have installed the latest drivers, and things got a little better, but not totally good.

As to UltraMon, I do not think that Windows 7 can place a taskbar on each computer. And I think that the stable version after UltraMon 3.0.9 RC will support Windows 7 officially.

I'll look again to see if Nvidia has issued any new drivers. I have a feeling they will come quite often in the beginning of the life of Windows 7.
