Suddenly, Windows 7 is not genuine

I bought a Gateway DX4200-09 Desktop on Ebay Apr 18, 2014 from a third-party seller. I've emailed the seller, but no response yet.

My copy of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit is suddenly not genuine. Windows support couldn't help without the 25-digit product key. Gateway support won't help because my product is out of warranty.

Can you help? Thanks in advance.

The installed Product Key is one that is ONLY valid on machines pre-installed with Windows 7 by the manufacturer.
Your machine was manufactured a year before windows 7 was released, and can NOT support such a Key.

You need to reformat and reinstall using genuine media and Key - or demand a refund from the vendor. (or both!)
