Suggested TV service to be compatible with Media Center

I recently built a dedicated HTPC running Windows 7 Media Center. I am moving soon and looking to switch to a television provider that will allow me to run all my channels (including premium and HD) through the system so that I can record live TV. My question is, does the provider matter or is it just about the tuner card? I have not bought one yet and would love suggestions.

I think as long as you're getting the television in the proper format so that your tuner card and pc can recognize it then you can use anything. Just make sure you read up on Media Center & the Tuner Card to figure out what formats you can record.
