Solved Supected virus or malware effecting keyboard usage

I suspect its one or the other. I've noticed its activity when I try to play a game after some time it would stop me from using any of my keys and just make me unable to type. I restart my computer and suddenly it would work once more.

note I have formatted my SSD and HDD and it still comes up, I tried using killdisk and it still pops up.

When did this problem first appear? Have you run full scans with your anti-virus of choice? Any malware detected?

Have you tried using a different keyboard? Same results?

When did you format your SSD and HDD? I noticed from your attach.txt log that you have a restore point dated 9/22/14. If you formatted after that date then this restore point would have been wiped from the disk. Have you tried restoring your computer to a date/time prior to when the keyboard problem first appeared?

It appeared over the weekend, I had hoped using killdisk would resolve the issue, however it did not. And I have ran full scans with malwarebytes, they didn't pick anything up, I did the avast scan and it didn't pick anything up either. I am not sure what to do at this point

Edit: Possible Bios virus?

I think a BIOS virus, while possible, is very rare. The fact that you didn't have any malware detected with Malwarebytes or Avast is a good sign. I'd still try a different keyboard. I'm guessing you're a gamer and probably give your keyboard a pretty good workout. Keyboards can wear out, get dirt under the keys, etc. If a different keyboard shows the same problems then I'd try using a restore point prior to the weekend if you have one going back that far.

Just a note:

Malwarebytes by default don't search for rootkits unless you manually have enabled it. There are different kinds of rootkits including kernel ones. If it's a nasty one it may not be detected anyway, but I think it's worth a shot.

Nope couldn't find it, even with the rookit enabled.

Then I suggest you try TDSSKiller by Kapsersky. It can detect both rootkits and bootkits (MBR infections)

Yes. This has happened with me too. The only solution was to replace the keyboard and it did my job. Prolonged usage can damage the keys and for a gamer, it is rather usual. I guess you could buy a new and good one cheap from online stores. Usually, your keyboard shouldn't be behaving erratic due to some virus. When it does act erratically, it might just be a hardware issue. Are all your hardware drivers up to date? If not, try to update them and see what happens. If the keyboard still behaves like that, it might be the time for a new keyboard.

So i switched out the keyboards, it worked for a while then it began to act up again, preventing me from typing once again or using any of the keys. I've tried TDSSkiller and that didn't show anything.

where as aswMBR seems to crash after some time. Again if its a Bios virus what do I do?

Update, not sure what I found aswVmm.sys just not sure what it is.

It's Avast VM Monitor. On the download page for aswMBR there's this note that probably also explains the crash:

The current version of aswMBR uses "Virtualization Technology" to improve detection of stealth malware. Please note that to use this feature your machine & CPU must support hardware virtualization.

If it's a BIOS virus you should try to replace the BIOS software. Here's some information:

Well I've been on it all day today. played games without the keyboard messing up. Everything seems normal, I've ran a lot of scans with various diffrent programs, ranging from rougue killer to hitmanpro after looking at majorgeeks.com So everything is now fine. thank you for helping me and providing me with knowlege
