Solved Surprise message this morning.

As my subscription to Eset Nod 32 has almost expired, I have been giving MSE a trial run. When I started up this morning I saw the message below. Any ideas what this is all about and why it has happened?

There may be an issue with Windows seeing itself as genuine. Follow this, and we'll take a quick look to see if anything is problematical:

1. Download and save this tool to your desktop:

2. Run the tool, and then click 'Copy' - ignore any errors if they appear

I didn't need to. I had done a complete reinstallation of Windows7, as I had been getting problems caused by Rapport.

@Kaktussoft - MGADiag is the tool that tells us whether an install is likely to be genuine or not - nothing else does.
ALL other tools rely on software tests to check validaity *at that time* with no logic possible to see whateer hacks may be in place, or the actual potential legality of the install.
The MkI eyeball together with an MGADiag report is better than all other tests put together.

This installation is perfectly genuine as far as I can tell.

It's likely that the problem was actually either a firewall/connection problem, or a race condition caused by other interfering software.

What other security software are you running with? (anti-malware/firewall/HOSTS file/etc)
Did you try the 'resolve now' button? - what happened?

I use SUPERAntSPYWARE and Malware Bytes. All seems OK now. I will carry on as normal for the time being. If it happens agaon MSE will be uninstalled and Nod put back on.

So long as both aren't ruinning in 'Protect' mode and are merely used as scanners, it should be fine.
You may have problems running either in Protect mode - check their forums for tweaks - and you'd almost certainly have problems if both are in the prevention mode, as you'd have three programs attempting to accesss teh same resources at once for at least some of the time - and MSE gets grumpy at that
