The pc is definitely backleveled since I had to restore. It has all updates up to 7/12. While I have had any problems with updates (so far) I thought that it might be wise to install the SURT. My only concern is whether that would create problems with updates since I am so far behind.

thanks

(I could not find an answer for this question which may well be a dumb question.)

It only corrects any problems it finds - it doesn't install anything new.

Unless you're seeing problems with updating or the like, then there should be no need to run the tool.
