Synchredible - Question about

I have been using the file backup program, Synchredible, for several years.
I really like the program and use it almost daily.

However, it has always had one quirk that is highly annoying = sometimes, I cannot get it to open; and, other times, even when it is open, I cannot bring it to the front, and have to start minimizing windows until I get down to it.

I have the most recent version and this problem has remained through each version that I have had.

Whenever Synchredible decides it does not want to cooperate, then it can be a frustrating chore to get it up front-and-center and ready to go.

Regardless of whether I click the Task Bar icon, the Start Menu icon, or right-click > Open via the Desktop Shortcut, the icon will light up and act as if it is going to respond and then do nothing.

This negative behavior is intermittent, plaguing me about one out of three uses.

Is there some trick or setting I can employ that will cure this behavior ?

Thanks for reading and all help is appreciated.

For what it is worth, there used to be a Synchredible discussion forum where such questions could be addressed; ...alas, now, when I click the bookmark to the forum, it just takes me to the main site and there is no longer any mention of the forum on the main "home" page.

Coupe of things I would try.

1) Run the program as Admin.

2) Reinstall the program to the root of C drive instead of the programs folder. So create aq folder on C drive called Synchredible and install to there.

A possible third option. Do both 1 and 2.

Beyond that it could be another program interfering. Could be a DLL, service or driver. Could even be DEP. We can get to all that latter if need be.

I personally use FreeFileSync and it has been fantastic, but it's not for the computer illiterate. Here's a whole list of other backup software. If you want to utilize the cloud, I use CloudBerry. And my cloud provider of choice is Amazon AWS S3, but that's very nerdy.
