I wouldn't use Advanced System Care or any other products form IObit. Some components, such as the registry cleaner, generally do more harm than good. The company has been involved with some very questionable if not actually illegal business practices. I don't have a very high opinion of all such products.

I have never used Avast, but do use Malwarebytes. I like the combo of Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes. Both are free.

Advanced System Care by IObit in my opinion is junk. It will do more damage than a virus.
I would recommend not using anything by IObit. If you have ever had it on your computer I would recommend a clean install.
In my opinion their is a good chance that even after removing IObit products it still might be calling home to China.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Anti Malware Pro and I'm well pleased.
I also use the Windows 7 built in firewall. Keeping everything updated and that includes the person behind the keyboard.
I read the Forums section on Security to keep abreast of the new attack methods being used.

A big part of my opinion on IObit products is gathered by watching threads on this Forum where members try to fix a computer that has had IObit installed.

PS: I will not find and post the threads I'm referring to.
