I did ran the optimizer after enabling write caching. I didn't notice any change in free space by the way.
Rebooted between each action, now going to a 3rd reboot I will test again.
I was looking around about the firmwares and found that's another frimare in between that has number "5" in it, will research on the version "5" changelog if that one has any improvements that I need.
Also this is interesting, new "6" one doesn't bring anything good for performance but wether it's intended or a but seems to remove devsleep Solid State Drives » New Firmware for Samsung 840 / 840 Pro (Mar' 2014)
Not sure how would that amount to "imrovement in compatabiltiy with slim PC" or maybe not a lot of slims/eco stuff wants to use DevSleep ?
