system configure and Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

Everything working okay, then loaded in Zone Alarm and things still working good. When into System Configure and the picture says it all. How do I figure out how to get this back?



Second question is about my Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. Does anyone know what is the optimal settings are for this? An interesting thing happen to me last night. Tried to download a 235megb file. First tried it failed. Then I started looking around and noticed about Jumbo Frames. So I took it from disabled to 9kb MTU. Wow, blew it way with a down load speed I got. Then I turn it back to disabled and did speed test. Speed test showed 45-55 down and 4 up. Then I turned it back on and wow it peg the needed three times and the last speed it register was 65-70 down and about 12 up. So what is it that I did?

Hi mate.

Don't know about the first one, but for the second one, Jumbo frames are network-layer PDUs that have a size much larger than the typical 1500 byte Ethernet MTU size.
This means that if you enable Jumbo Frames, your device can transfer bigger packets.
This usually depends on your hardware support, e.g. do you have a router who supports Jumbo Frames (which you do), and also does your ISP supports Jumbo Frames (it should), but they usually don't enable it per end user.
I don't know your situation, but since you witnessed higher speed, you can use it if you like

But if ISP find out, and they will if you downloading like a maniac, they will investigate and disable it on their side so you won't be able to use it even though you would have it enabled on your side .
