Hi All,

Recently i have been having high CPU usage (100%) due to the following :

- System Idle Process (Consumes about 35%)
- TaskHost.exe (Consumes about 20%)

I personally do not better know how to check what's causing them and even more so how to fix it. Maybe some one can direct me as to how to view the problem so that I can post it on to better seek your assistance.

The 35% system idle process is an indicator of how much is NOT being used. Higher is better. It's 99% right now on my PC.

Use Task Manager to track down what's using the remaining 65%.

Taskhost.exe is using 0% right now on my PC.

Check the performance tab to see how much RAM you are using.

Check the processes tab of Task Manager. Do you have 50 running or 100? Which are using the most CPU cycles?

Run MSCONFIG and look at the services tab. How many non-Microsoft services are running?

Post screen shots of Task Manager if possible.
