System repair disk required or not

Hi,

My laptop is 6 months old - sony vaio.

Do i require to create System Repair Disc?

I have taken back up in external hard drive. Also have created windows 7 backup in three separate DVDs.

Hello Ravi, and welcome to Seven Forums.

It would be a good idea to create a set of Sony Vaio factory recovery discs to have as a backup to be able to do a factory recovery of Windows 7 if needed say if you are unable to do so normally from the factory recovery partition on the laptop.

A system repair disc is not required, but could come in handy as well to be use to try and repair Windows 7 with if you were ever unable to boot into the System Recovery Options screen using F8 at boot.
