Solved System Restore and Programs that were installed before restore

After doing a system restore I noticed a couple of programs I had installed were gone. This is not a problem because I do not need them. My question is are the programs completely gone or are there still parts of them on the hard drive somewhere? The programs were a Mal-ware remover (Emisoft) and Driver Sweeper.

Hello Radman,

When you do a system restore, it will also restore your programs to how they were at the time the restore point was created.

Any program installed after the restore point are completely removed. You will need to reinstall them again if you like.

Any program that was installed at the time the restore point was created and uninstalled afterwards, will be restored.

also when you have to run a system restore in future ,once you select the point you wish to restore to,click the scan for affected programs, this will tell you what programs etc will be removed and what will be restored.
