system restore cannot be opened

when i click on system restore it cannot be opened .. whats the reasong

i have windows 7 pro

Do you get a error message when you do?

If so, what is the complete error message?

Could you post a screenshot of this error and System Protection windows to see if anything may standout?

no.. thats the main problem.. i m not getting any error.. it just like i open it but no any response..

i even tried to open it using the command prompt by giving command rstrui.exe
command executed successully bt not response..

You might see if running a sfc /scannow command may be able to help if it's a corrupted system file at fault.

If not, then you could see if it may let you do a system restore at boot using a restore point dated before this issue.
