Well i have just installed windows 7 64 bit a week or so ago i thought that windows would every so often make restore points.I had a problem with my new graphics card catalyst and went to system restore and it was off.Anyway i have now triedd to turn it on i have three hard drives an old ide which i use to store games on,a Samsung 320 gig which has my O.S on and a new SSD 256 gig drive which i will store games and programs on.I get this error message when i try to create a restore point.I have tried to use the 3 drives to use for restore points and i have tried to just use the main drive ,i always get this error.

How full is C: can you post a shot of disk management ?

Do you have a system reserved partition ? How full is it ?

In elevated command prompt run... sfc /scannow

Maybe i might be better just putting a fresh install of windows 7 on my new SSD and just wipe the c and d drive as i have found old versions of xp and linux and ubuntu on the D drive .It just seems i have alot of wasted space. What do you think if so would i make the SSD my master in the bios and the others as slaves.

You will be a much better off with Win 7 on your SSD. It will make Win 7 boot very fast. You should also put your programs on the SSD. Put your music, pictures etc on a HDD. When you are doing the install, unplug from the motherboard all other drives. Only have the SSD connected. Use this tutorial to help. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html
Leave your SSD as one partition.
