I have an Acer PC with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Service Pack 1. It's a legacy system running some special hardware so I don't really want to update it (it's behind a router in a home LAN). I would however like to install the latest Microsoft updates, which it says are available (4 important updates, 4 optional updates). When I try, it says "Downloading 4 updates" but the progress bar never moves off 0%. What am I doing wrong? I'm a Linux guy and don't know Windows at all. How do I actually make it update everything it can (esp. security updates)?
