Not sure if this is part of customization or if there is actually a current feature in Win7 to complete this, so sorry if I'm in the wrong section :)

I setup a Quick Launch bar earlier as my mind missed it after switching to Windows 7 today.

But, after looking around the docking system for windows I use often is truly awesome ...

So, 2 things:

1, is there anyway I can force these docked windows to always stay left aligned?

2, Is there a way to make the explorer docked shortcut to stay after opening a window ?

Screenshot shows what I mean about the docked shortcuts moving to the middle of the task bar etc.

-ps

Sorry for typo/garble I'm a bit tired tonight heh.

Hello Sam, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might consider setting taskbar grouping to Always combine, hide labels to not have the buttons like that. Otherwise you can manually drag the icons to left when they get like that.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Yea, I hate grouping my windows heh.

I might switch back to the quicklaunch taskbar then, the new docked systems are nice but If there going to jump around.

I just put my least frequently used icons to the left, or the ones that would only have 1 window open, that way it doesn't push everything to the right.
