I have 2 user accounts on my PC. One is my original user account with admin permissions, and the other is just a standard user, which I mainly logon to these days, and it works fine. However recently I logged on to my original account, and whilst there I opened the Task Manager, only to find that it would not open correctly. It looks like this, which is showing Services with no title bar or menu options displayed. The only way to close it is to r. click on its icon in the taskbar and close from the pop-up menu. Everything else seems to be working fine in that account as far as I know.
I ran sfc /scannow but nothing amiss was found. On my standard user account Task Manager works correctly. I had a system restore point, but using that only showed that this issue had already been around for some time before I became aware of it. Is there a way of fixing the Task Manager or am I going to have to delete my original account. and create another one?
