Hi..

I attempted to right click on csrss.exe in Task Manager Processes so that I may identify this item, however, when I right click, window pops up (as with other apps). When I click on properties or open file location, nothing happens. Same results with winlogin.exe. Any thoughts?

Hello,

Those files are critical Windows 7 files which is not recommend to play with. Though it's a little old when you click on Properties nothing happens. Try click on Show processes for all users then you'll get a UAC prompt. The Click on Properties and see if opens. More likely UAC might be blocking access to those files which is a good thing though.

Hope this helps,
Captain

Hello,

It's natural each session Internet explorer will open different iexplorer.exe in order to recover Tab if the browser crash.

Thanks Captain (try to point that sword elsewhere). It seems that when I open a new tab in a Explorer Window, another iexplore.exe *32 entry is added to Task Manager Processes. I'm leaning towards assuming this is routine.

Your Most Welcome ! Yup don't worry about it. If you want Download Process Explorer from Technet

Check the Digital Signature: The Malware can fake them as a Microsoft or a Legit company but they can’t fake their digital signature. Use the” Verify” option under the Image Tab this function will verify whether it has a valid digital signature or if it says unable to verity. If you find a Process that couldn’t verity that’s a red alert dig deeper about that process.

Hope this helps,
Captain

Today is football sunday. My windows can have the day off....yaayyyy..I will look into those signatures. A pity so much maliciousness goin on out there. It's rainy rainy rainy. My sun god prayer was supposed to keep me warm until Dec 1. Guess I'll have to buy a prayer mat. Enjoy the day Captain and feed the bird.
