Highlight the process that you want to kill and right click it. From the menu choose "end process". There is also the option to "end process tree", but I'm not certain how that differs from the latter. However, I don't think that this can do done on a schedule.

Sure, you can. Start Task Manager, Under Applications tab, select the program you want to close, click end task. Or, select processes tab, select the application process running, click end process. Further if u want all the processes that an application has started to end, right click on the process and select end process tree. I do this all the time, if any of the apps are unresponsive!!!

From what I can tell these option only shut it down as a once off. The reason I want it is so it will open and close while I am at work.

If you want to end a process at a certain time, you can't use Task Manager.
You will need to use Task Scheduler. Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Task Scheduler.
On the right panel, select Create Basic Task. Give the Task a Name, and click Next.
Select which time you want Vuze to close. Normally you would choose Daily.
Click Next and select the Time etc.
Click Next and select Run a Program. Type in "TASKKILL /F /IM "vuze.exe"
Continue to the end. That's it.
A better option is to use uTorrent which has an inbuilt scheduler, no need for any external scheduler with annoying options.
