Taskbar Icon Display Settings

I use the Irfanview program for my images in place of Windows Paint and Viewer, one thing that comes up quite a lot is that the displaying which occurs on the taskbar, when each program instance gets an active icon and a thumbnail row when on hover/select, this is not really an Irfanview issue but the thumbnails that come up in that row only do that about 11 times, then it turns into a vertical list which does not have the thumbnails and is small to begin with, I want more rows or and an arrow select for multiple rows in this situation, thanks much.
