taskbar issues

This is just a small problem, but it has annoyed me for ages. I have my favourite programs pinned to the taskbar, like ie and stuff. When you open ie it opens on top of the icon already pinned to the taskbar, however there are some programs that don't do this. Itunes is the main problem, but spotify just had an update and started doing it too, it annoys me because it takes up extra space and can be a little confusing and dosn't look good. So any tips would be aprreciated, thanks

You could set the Taskbar to Auto Hide
