Hopefully this post will help fix your issue.

I have Windows 7 installed on two laptops. One is a Dell Latitude D803 and the other a HP Compaq 6710b. Both would BSOD approximately every 5 minutes. 'TDX.SYS' was the culprit. After running WinDBG I noticed that it was a issue with my network adapter driver 'b57nd60a.sys'. Both laptops have the same network adapter (Broadcom NetLink Gigabit Ethernet) and both were crashing (x32 & x64 versions). I finally went to Broadcom's website and found drivers at the following links:

Broadcom Corporation - Download NetLink Drivers

or

Broadcom Corporation - Download NetLink Drivers

If one doesn't work they other will. Basically when 'TDX.SYS' causes a BSOD it is usually the result of a driver(s) (and some antivirus apps) that aren't fully compatible with Windows 7. You should run WinDBG and find out what driver is causing the error. It's not as hard as you think!

Microsoft's site for using WinDBG:

How to read the small memory dump files that Windows creates for debugging

P.S. Don't worry if you can't get the symbols to install properly. You should still see the file that is probably causing the error listed. If you Google the file(s) you will be on your way to fixing the issue.

Good Luck!

I too was suffering the 'tdx.sys' BSOD about every 15 minutes on my Dell XPS M1330 with Broadcom NetLink 5906M.

I can report that updating to the latest version of the driver for my NIC from the Broadcom webpage (note: not those linked to in the previous post) has resulted in a stable environment.

Ill now attempt to reload most of the software I'd removed in attempt to diagnose the issue !! :D

I encountered this issue after installing the latest driver for the Broadcom 57xx NIC in my Precision M90. After rolling back to the base driver that came with Windows 7, the issue is gone.

My problem was similar but I was not having any trouble with my physical hardware network card. Actually, the problem was caused by the Virtual Network Card installed by VMWare Workstation. The problem was solved when I disabled this virtual adaptor on the Device Manager. The system is now stable :)

Happy ending after all... :)

Interesting. My issue actually started after installing VMware but was solved after rolling back the NIC driver for the physical adapter. (I was too stubborn to uninstall VMware).

BSOD due to Norton 360

I think it could be anything trying to access the TDX.sys. After getting BSODs for few times, I thought of taking out the only thing that I installed yesterday. It is the Norton 360 beta for Windows 7.

As soon as I took it off the machine stabilized.

Thanks

TDX.sys BSOD every few minutes

I've got an ASUS PC1000H netbook that I recently upgraded to W7. For antivirus I tried Kaspersky, Norton and finally ESET. I think that every one of them is giving me the BSOD about every 15 minutes (sometimes sooner, sometimes over an hour will go by in between BSODs). I've updated the LAN driver (not broadcom like in previous posts), but I don't know what to try next. Any suggestions?

Asus PC100H Netbook 1GB RAM (2GB RAM upgrade will be delivered today) and 160GB hard drive.

Bsod tdx.sys

Having this same issue. Just downloaded the BC driver and hoping this will solve the problem. Previously I un-installed Kaspersky as I was getting bsod with kl1.sys (guessing that was a K/AV file). The TDX error is newer and I will monitor... Otherwise, Win7/7000 is GREAT. Runs faster than even my XP install did on this Dell Latitude D830! Good job MS!:geek:

So far, so good

I haven't had a BSOD in 2-3 days. Everything seems good to go with AVG 8.0 Free. All other antivirus programs seemed to give me the BSOD every 15 minutes or so. Very very happy...

Hi,

Just found you guys and this thread. My AVG 8.0 updated this morning and now I get the tdx.sys BSOD every 5 minutes or so. It's the ONLY update that has been done to this computer in the last 24 hours. Win7 has been rock solid up to this point.

I am running on a 780i chipset board with an nVidia NIC.

Hi, tried it all but it did not help.
I'm runnig Win7 on a DELL inspiron 1525 with a Marvell Yukon networkadapter. The problematic part ist my NAS: d-link DND-323. If I turn it on, I get the bsod after about 5-10 minutes. Firmware of NAS is uptodate. Driver ofe networkadapter dito. What can I possibly try?
Thanks for any ideas.

Same issue here with Win7 64 bit, Avast antivirus and Nvidia 680 chipset with 2 Nvidia NICs
However, it only happens when I have mapped network drives from my synology NAS (DS209+, with firmware DSM 2.0-0731).

It happen with in 10 minutes everytime I booted up Win7,
but after disabling my login script, it haven't made a BSOD since

In Vista 64, I never had this issue

BSOD tdx.sys issues

I seem to be encountering my own share of BSOD issues relating to the tdx.sys file. Unfortunately, they occur withing about 5 minutes or less, so there's not a lot of time to dig deep into what's happening. Additionally, whatever is happening doesn't seem to require that I even be doing anything with the computer at the time. Sitting idle is enough to cause the BSOD.

The computer in question is an HP dv9005, upgraded to 1.5 Gb memory, with an AMD Turon 64 x2 processor (1.6 Ghz, I believe).

I would love to get a chance to try out Win7, but so far, I've barely gotten a chance to see more than the desktop. I'm almost considering a reversion back to Vista (which ran really slowly, but never went to BSOD on me), or even further back to XP.

tdx.sys BSOD issue

I am dual booting between XP and Windows 7 build 7000. (32bit)
My System is a dell Dimension 4600 with a Intel Pro 100 VE Network Card. I am also using a NAS (DLINK NAS 323) connected to my Router and My pc connects to the network using a cable (not wireless).

Recently I started getting bsod and I have tried reinstalling the windows 7 fresh and still no use. I was having this BSOD every few minutes. Then I read this forum and disconnected my NAS drive mappings and the BSOD disappeared. But If I am working on any files from my NAS I still get the BSOD error. I am using Avast home Anti virus. My NAS firmware and drivers are updated. I have also updated the Intel network driver. If anyone finds a permanent solution for this issue please post it here.
Thanks,
Simon

**********Update*****************

I think I got it under control now. Basically I un-installed Avast and reinstalled AVG Free. (Initially AVG gave me issues with online updating, but after a reboot and restart of Modem and router it fixed though). No BSOD in the last 2 hours. I have mapped the drives and it looks good.

Update: BSOD with TDX.sys returned after changing antivirus to Trend Micro :-(

Going back to Avast for now but this is annoying. I have also tried several NIC drivers and do not have VMware installed anymore.

Some detailed information:
Usually happens when acccessing NAS and if some other firewall is installed than windows own or other application that can control network (use tdx.sys).

Now I use Avira Antivir, Windows Firewall and Windows Defender without BSOD problem of tdx.sys

I have tryed these Antivirus + FW + Internetcontrol softwares.
- AVG
- Norton
- F-Secure
These all had BSOD tdx.sys problems

That was it indeed - I removed NORTON 360 and now the NAS is running as it should. What antivirus solution would you recommend? Would not like to spend hours installing and removing..... As far as I could take it from this thread, Antivir seems to be the only nonproblematic program. Is that so?
