Hi all,

New to the forum so, nice to meet you...

I have recently been experiencing timeouts on my mouse/keyboard combination (Logitech DiNovo - bluetooth) and my Belkin F5D8053 Wireless 802.11n USB.

When I say timeouts I mean the devices just stop working every now and again. The mouse/keyboard always come back (after about 3 seconds) but the Belkin wireless sometimes becomes permanently unavailable. I have to remove the USB dongle and reinsert it in order for the device to become reuseable again.

I have tried updating with allsorts of different drivers, new, old, even different manufacturers without any joy. Although I have found the Logitech SetPoint software to be more problematic than the drivers that ship with Windows 7, so I've uninstalled SetPoint.

Anyone got any ideas about how I can troubleshoot this issue and hopefully get to the bottom of what is causing it?

Thanks,
Drammy

Welcome to Seven Forums: Is the dongle &Rf reciever plugged directly into your MB USB ports? I ask after looking at all you external drives? Also have you checked your mini dump file to see if their are any dump files created after this happens? Also would like to have you fill in your power supply in system specs. Thanks Fabe

Hi Fabe,

Thanks for the prompt response!

The BT receiver is plugged directly into the MB USB. The Belkin wireless dongle is plugged into the front USB ports on the case, attached via the case cables to USB connectors on the MB (not the main ports).

The minidump is a new one on me, unless its just terminology?

Do you know of a way to grab the PSU info without opening the case up?

Cheers,
Drammy

I have just noticed that when watching an AVI on Windows Media Player the video stutters at the same time as the mouse/keyboard cut-outs. The audio is fine, just the video.

I have also found how to set up the minidumps but they are not created when the cut-outs occur.

Right, issues fixed.

I went to turn on the PC last night and it wouldn't turn on. New PSU and all is right again.
