You will probably not be able to get a full screen - at least I never was able to do that without ending up with scrollbars on the side and the bottom. But I have about 17" on my 22" screen and that works well.

Yes that's about the proportion I have, so will settle for that. Incidently I've only looked at the Win 8 a couple of times but from the very first it reminded me of something. I have just realised what it is. Years ago I had an IBM PS2 PC that had Windows 3.0 together with an IBM OS. The desktop was divided into four sections and I think that is what jogged my memory.
