the best defragment program?

defraggler is a decent disk defragger..i run it once or twice a month and it really maintains my system performance..

I'm glad that it is working for you, but what does it do that Windows' built-in defragger doesn't do?

If you have files at the end of the partition that stops you from resizing your partition then Windows defrag won't help. Defraggler might move the file(s) and PerfectDisk (free to try full version) will do likewise.

:D

After gregrocker introduced me to Puran free defragger, I find it the best defragmenting program. Gave up using Auslogics free Defragmenter that I had been using for all these years.

Thank you, gregrocker.

I like Perfect Disc the best myself of all Ive tried.

I agree with this.

Though SSD users have this in mind, dont ever defrag your ssd.

Defragmentation kills SSD.

I said that to my boss, but he didn't listen. Like... he didn't believe me. So how? Let his HDD crashes itself? xD

The later versions of Diskeeper can safely defrag SSDs.

I had once posed this question to Verbatim whose flash drive I am using. Verbatim had replied never to defrag the Flash Drive with ordinary defraggers that don't have the SSD defragging option.

Verbatim said that the SSD's life was dependent on the number of write operations performed on it and therefore there could be nothing worse than defragging it with ordinary defraggers.
